We were so fortunate to find the Sanctuary Beach Resort for our wedding. Knowing we wanted to be married on the beach, we looked at nearly every property on the California coast and were discouraged by the “wedding factory” vibe we received from a majority of the locations. When we found the Sanctuary, we immediately fell in love with the resort and the location. After meeting with Amanda Horn, we finally felt like the beach wedding of our dreams was possible. Amanda was very flexible and helpful as we worked out the details of our wedding weekend. From the location for our beach ceremony to the catering for our rehearsal dinner, Amanda helped coordinate every detail so that our wedding was absolutely perfect. Sanctuary Beach Resort was the Perfect Setting
Two years to the day before our anticipated wedding date, my fiancé and I scoured the California coast in search of a facility that could do the impossible – balance the beauty of the landscape with the feel of a destination event while maintaining a casual comfort that would allow guests and attendees the chance to feel rejuvenated at the same time that they celebrated our nuptials. From Big Sur to Mendocino, we found only one place. Sanctuary Beach Resort was the perfect setting for the most amazing weekend of our relationship. It was not just the setting, although the setting is magnificent. From initial meeting to final debrief, the Coordinators were superlative, working with us to create exactly the event we wanted to experience. They became thought partners, conferring with us throughout the early planning to help us sharpen our vision, and then turning to the right people to realize it. The facilities were outstanding, giving singles, couples, and families viable and extremely welcoming options for their accommodations. The range of gathering spaces was extremely helpful. The staff was flawless in their execution of what turned out to be a fairly complex event. Their flexibility was essential in addressing all of the evolving nature of a weekend-long experience that included two large meals, a beach ceremony, a film festival, and a massive waterfight before the nuptials began! And the pricing was among the most reasonable we found anywhere in our search. The rapport that the team had with more than a dozen vendors was fluid and well-managed. Moreover, the team found the right combination of engaging us for input and working out the details that left us feeling in control of the situation without feeling the pressure to ensure that everything flowed smoothly. And everything did. We could not possibly recommend Sanctuary any more strongly as a place to consider in order to help you nuptial dreams come true
