PRO-AM is back on the Peninsula!

Pebble Beach golf courseThe AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is a 72-hole PGA Tour golf championship and was originally known as the Bing Crosby National Pro-Amateur, nicknamed “the Crosby Clambake.”Entertainer Bing Crosby founded the tournament in 1937 by gathering as few friends to raise money for charity. Part sporting event and part social event, the first Pro-Am took place in Ranch Sante Fe, California.

The tournament was suspended during World War II and resumed in 1947 on the Monterey Peninsula. Over 8 decades of tournaments, the AT&T Pro-Am will take place on February 4-10, 2013. Top TOUR professional’s team with Hollywood celebrities, world renowned musicians and the captains of industry as they compete for a $6 million purse.
