Monterey’s Annual Holiday Parade of Lights will move down Lighthouse Avenue to downtown Pacific Grove, illuminating the evening sky with fantastical holiday floats, marching bands, dance groups, equestrian teams, and Santa Claus. Stores stay open late this evening for holiday shopping, and there will be an opportunity to take a photo with Santa and carolers. Christmas on the Wharf

Those heading to Monterey this holiday season will not want to miss the annual Christmas on the Wharf spectacle at Custom House Plaza. Visitors can come by throughout most of the month of December to enjoy live musical entertainment in the form of choir concerts and community carols. The 26th Annual Nutcracker Ballet With The Monterey Pops

Dance Kids of Monterey presents the premiere of a new collaboration with the esteemed Monterey County Pops! Orchestra. This production of the iconic Christmas tale The Nutcracker will run for four performances this December. The elaborate show will include the 39-piece orchestra, as well as more than 80 dancers, actors, and musicians. 8th Annual Whalefest

January 25, 2020 - January 26, 2020

For the eighth straight year, Monterey will celebrate the annual return of the migrating gray whales with Whalefest Monterey at Old Fisherman’s Wharf and Custom House Plaza. The two-day festival is a migration party, and it’s free for anyone to attend.
