There are few local events as beloved and eye-opening as the monthly Carmel Art Walk. On the second Saturday of every month from 5-8pm, a collection of 21 artist-owned galleries open their doors to visitors. Each of the locations is in Monterey County’s Carmel-By-The-Sea, which has had a small population rich with artists for over a century. The 26th Annual Nutcracker Ballet With The Monterey Pops

Dance Kids of Monterey presents the premiere of a new collaboration with the esteemed Monterey County Pops! Orchestra. This production of the iconic Christmas tale The Nutcracker will run for four performances this December. For the eighth straight year, Monterey will celebrate the annual return of the migrating gray whales with Whalefest Monterey at Old Fisherman’s Wharf and Custom House Plaza. The two-day festival is a migration party, and it’s free for anyone to attend.
