Creating Monterey Memories with Cyber Monday

Creating Monterey Memories with Cyber Monday

We are coming upon another holiday shopping season, which means savings, deals, and discounts are about to sprout with abundance. Following heavy Thanksgiving meals, and late-night hangouts with the family, millions of America’s most enthusiastic shoppers will venture out for the season’s midnight kickoff on Black Friday. Even more shoppers will check in for the following shopping holiday at the end of that weekend, and they’ll do it from the comfort of their own homes.

What is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday is the virtual follow-up to Black Friday, and it’s a shopping holiday tailor-made for the digital age. The tradition dates back to 2005, when the National Retail Federation’s Ellen Davis and Scott Silverman created it for a sale by Shop.org. It’s since exploded into an international phenomenon, inspiring annual Cyber Monday sales from major online retailers like Amazon, as well as countless boutique operations.
