Beginning July 27th the biggest, baddest, boldest bike racing circuit known to earth meets arguably its most technical course on the international tour. With the largest spectator attendance of any race held at Mazda Raceway, the Red Bull United States Grand Prix, featuring the MotoGP World Championship, returns to Monterey for its eighth consecutive year. MotoGP is the world’s premier motorcycling championship, with a season of 18 Grand Prix race weekends in 15 countries bringing together the world’s top motorcycle manufacturers like Yamaha, Honda and Ducati – along with an elite list of riders from every corner of the globe.
Throughout the weekend Monterey turns into a motorcycle Mecca, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca by day and Cannery Row by night. The city closes the main drag to cars and only allows motorcycles to park and gather up and down Cannery Row. Locals and visitors will see a diverse display of bikes from classic Harleys to advanced superbikes. This weekend long festivity is where people from all around the world gather to celebrate motorcycles and motorcycle racing.
