Monterey Bay is a truly picturesque body of water, and the more activities you can do within sight of it, the better vacation you’ll have. Pointing out some of our favorite restaurants and attractions on the water, these are our recommendations for how to spend the perfect day on Monterey Bay.
Several of the best restaurants in Monterey are located right on the water, providing you with some of the best brunch scenery in the country. Dive into some of the heartiest stacks of pancakes, most creative benedicts, and best bloody marys at spots on the bay like Wave Street Cafe, and Loulou’s Griddle in the Middle.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of the most well known and highly regarded in the world. Located right on the bay, it provides visitors with intimate access to, and education on over 600 species of marine wildlife. Check out the Monterey Bay Aquarium Package at The Sanctuary Beach Resort to learn more.
Located right on Monterey Bay, Del Monte Beach is one of the more scenic and relaxed coastal hangouts around. Come here for some peaceful sunbathing and swimming, as well as long walks on boardwalk pathways, brilliant views from towering sand dunes, and wildlife sightings.
Take your perfect day along Monterey Bay even further up the coast to Fort Ord Dunes State Park, right where The Sanctuary Beach Resort is located. This is another picturesque location for hiking on owering dunes, lazing around on the beach, and checking out historic structures like the now-closed Fort Ord.
You can wind down your perfect day along the water right here at The Sanctuary Beach Resort, one of the nicest hotels and resorts located on Monterey Bay. Here you can have dinner at our onsite restaurant Salt Wood Kitchen and Oysterette, and then enjoy a sunset bonfire on the beach before turning in at one of our beachside guest cottages.
